How Leaders' Foundation International School collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website and online channels.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
01About this policy
Leaders' Foundation International School ("LFIS", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of parents, guardians, prospective families, students, applicants, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and online channels, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
This policy applies to https://leaders.edu.sa, our LFIS links page, and any other LFIS web pages or landing pages that refer to it (together, our "Sites"). It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to. Leaders' Foundation International School is the party responsible for the personal data described here (the data controller).
We are based in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and we handle personal data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its regulations, as well as the requirements of the advertising and analytics platforms we use.
02Information we collect
We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit our Sites.
- Information you provide — your name and your child's name, date of birth and intended grade, your phone number, email address, WhatsApp messages, admission and enrolment enquiries, career applications and CVs, and any other details you choose to send us through forms, email, calls, or messaging.
- Information collected automatically — your device and browser type, IP address, general location (such as city or country), the pages you view, the links you click, the page that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described below.
04Advertising and the Snap Pixel
Our Sites use the Snap Pixel, an analytics and advertising tool provided by Snap Inc. (the company behind Snapchat). The Snap Pixel helps us measure the effectiveness of our Snapchat advertising, understand the actions people take after seeing or interacting with our ads, and reach people with relevant information about LFIS.
When the Snap Pixel is active, it may collect and share with Snap information such as the pages you visit on our Sites, the actions you take, your device and browser information, and your IP address, and Snap may match this information to a Snapchat account. To be clear: Leaders' Foundation International School — not Snap — is the party that asks for and collects any personal information you submit on our Sites.
Information collected through the Snap Pixel is shared with Snap Inc. and processed in accordance with Snap's Privacy Policy, available at https://snap.com/privacy/privacy-policy. Snap acts as an independent controller for the data it receives and uses it as described in its own policy.
You can control whether your personal data is used for ad targeting in the following ways:
- Adjust your Snapchat ad preferences in the Snapchat app under Settings → Ads.
- Manage interest-based advertising through your device settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" or resetting your advertising ID).
- Use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info or Your Online Choices at https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Where the law requires your consent before advertising cookies and pixels load, we will ask for that consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time using the controls above.
05How we use your information
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the information, tours, or callbacks you request.
- To process admissions, enrolment, and related school services.
- To review career applications and recruit staff.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Sites.
- To measure, run, and improve our marketing and advertising campaigns, including through the Snap Pixel and similar tools.
- To communicate with you about school news, events, and updates where you have asked us to or where we are permitted to do so.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation, and safety obligations.
06Our legal grounds
Where the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law applies, we rely on one or more of the following grounds to process your personal data: your consent; the need to take steps at your request or to perform a contract (such as processing an admission); our legitimate interests in operating and promoting the school in a way that does not override your rights; and compliance with a legal obligation.
For advertising and analytics cookies and pixels, including the Snap Pixel, we rely on your consent where it is required by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
08Children's privacy
Protecting children is central to everything we do. Our Sites are intended for parents, guardians, and other adults, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through our Sites without the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
Information about enrolled students is collected and handled through our admission and enrolment process — under the agreements we have with families and applicable Ministry of Education and PDPL requirements — and not through general use of this website. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data through our Sites, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
09International transfers
Some of our service providers and advertising partners — including Snap Inc. — may store or process data on servers located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it is protected in line with the PDPL and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
10How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting, accreditation, or reporting requirements, and to resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
11How we protect information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and keep our safeguards under review.
12Your rights
Subject to the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal data is collected and used.
- Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
- Request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
- Request that your personal data be deleted in certain circumstances.
- Withdraw your consent where we rely on it, including for advertising cookies and the Snap Pixel.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the Saudi Data & AI Authority, SDAIA).
13Third-party links
Our Sites contain links to third-party websites and social media platforms, such as Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those services. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes may be highlighted on our Sites. Please review this page periodically.
